Hi All,
I've been having problems getting a Vodafone Sure Signal to connect through a Draytek 2830n V2 via a fibre broadband connection. I found the following guide and run with it, Version-3-VSS-Draytek-2850-and-Fibre-Broadband/.
Can you take a look at my tracing route and let me know if this is ok?

@brushtec - The trace route provided looks fine.
It doesn’t seem to be connecting to the Vodafone network.
If you’re using BT as your internet service provider (ISP) make sure the Smart set up has been turned off so the Vodafone Sure Signal can connect.
Can you let us know the light sequence that you’re seeing?

Thanks for the replay Laura.
We are using a BT Openreach fibre modem which I can't get access to, no IP address. I think the smart set up is only on the home hub, I could be wrong. The modem then connects to a Draytek Vigor 2830n V2.
Light shown on VSS V3.

When we were setting SSV up we could not add any names to the user list, due to the error below. So I rang customer services to get the names added, I was assured it was done and it would take 6 hours to take effect. Checked this morning and there are no users added. I tried adding them myself but get the same error below.
Could this be the cause of my problems?

@brushtec - There’s a good chance that could be causing it.
I’ve sent you a private message with instructions on how to get in touch, so we can look into this further.

I rang customer services on Friday and got them to add the names/numbers (for the second time). I was told this would defiantly work, just wait 24 hours for it to take effect. 2 1/2 days later and still no difference, I’ve logged on and check and there are still no names on the account. And the SSV still shows the same two orange lights.
What do I try now, the bin!

So i finaly got users added to the account (thrid time lucky), I've wait the 24 hours and still no joy, still have the same orange lights. I'm I missing something? Do i need to reset the SSV?

I can see that your Sure Signal’s never been able to connect to the Vodafone network.
This may be due to a faulty Ethernet cable. Connect the Sure Signal using a different cable.
If this doesn’t resolve your issue, try connecting the Sure Signal in a different location. Once you’ve gained a connection try it in the original location.

I've already tried swapping cables it had no effect.
I'll try it at a different location tonight and kkep you posted.

Tried the SSV at home last night and it worked. Plugged it back in at work this morning and still get the same errors. Any suggestions?
