Sure Signal Myths....

Hello!!!

Joined Vodafone yesterday from O2, so hello to you all, please be nice i'm just getting used to things :Smiling:

Just a quick question about the Sure Signal that vodafone offers....

I have heard several different things about this and seeing as I am DESPERATE for one, don't have any signal anywere i thought I'd clear up my questions...

I have contacted Vodafone directly on the phone and they told me that this box cost £50.

I contacted someone via the live chat on here and they told me the box cost £100.

I asked the person how much the box was when I bought the phone and told I could get it for £25, and this was the same message from one of my friends who has one..

Anyone tell me?!

Thanks :Smiling:

Hi sierra247,

It sounds to me like neither you nor any of your friends knows how to properly express disappointment at the cost.

You can do better than that - I certainly did. :smileywink:

Hi sierra247,

Apologies for the inconsistency! Sure Signal used to be £50 to buy online, or I believe there was a discounted offer for existing customers where it was £25. It's £100 across the board now though, but worth every penny if you ask me! I paid £60 for mine in the very early days and have been using it for years. It's great :Smiling:

Tom

Thats a hell of a lot of money to pay for something that I was promised in the first place is it not?! I literally don't even have enough signal to even phone Vodafone to say I don't have enough signal.....I expect to pay £25 if that is what others I know have paid?

Peter - feel free to barter on my behalf :Winking_smiley:

Hi sierra247,

Thanks for responding. The Sure Signal that is currently available is a newly launched version, hence the higher cost. It's much more compact than it's big brothers and it doesn't even use up one of your mains points. If you're unhappy with the cost of the new units, you can pick up the predecessors 2nd hand via the usual sites although I'd strongly recommend the most up to date unit if you are indeed struggling. :Winking_smiley:

Remember, if you're in your 7 day cooling off period and you're not satisfied with the coverage you're receiving, you're well within your rights to return the agreement you have.

Cheers, Ben

i'll try on all second hands sites...

if that fails i'm afraid i shall be moving back to o2!!!!!

it has been a short lived relationship!
