@jawilson Welcome to the eForum John.

We can see that your Vodafone Sure Signal connected this morning at 1.50am.

If you’re still having trouble, please check that the IPSec pass through is ticked within the settings on your router.

Hi

The network light on the Suresignal continues to flash.

I have checked the IPSec pass through on the superhub and this has been checked.

Please advise.

Regards

John

Please try a different Ethernet cable and to ensure that all the following ports are open as follows:

Ports to be opened for forwarding

  • 8 (TCP & UDP)
  • 50 (TCP & UDP)
  • 53  (TCP & UDP)
  • 67 (UDP)
  • 68 (UDP)
  • 123 (UDP)
  • 500 (UDP)
  • 1723 (TCP & UDP)
  • 4500 (UDP)
  • 33434 - 33445 (UDP)

IP addresses to be allowed on the router & firewall

  • 183.133.177-179
  • 183.133.181-182
  • 183.131.128-191

Once the above steps have been followed, please see below for further help:

  • Unplug the Ethernet cable from the Sure Signal
  • Locate the button on the base of the box next to the Ethernet ports
  • Press and hold the button for approximately 30 seconds
  • Once the lights come back on, release the button
  • Plug the cable back in
  • Allow around one hour for the Sure Signal to come back online.

I have sure signal 2 , am having same problem as many others, no conection with phone since begining November 15 .

I am trying to follow your instructions ,but when i do port forward test,I get all the ports you state closed.

I have a ?  with the ip.   my device shows as 192.168.02 (wired device)

But you have 3 compleatly different ips.  ie:183.131.128-191.

PLEASE explain how i should input these settings.  I have the advanced settings / port forwarding , open on my router....

regards Phil

When I phoned Vodafone two weeks ago they confirmed it was a problem with Vigin Media but offered no solution except to wait and it would start working again at some point- it has not. I will try plugging into another network as suggested. No the meantime we hope that our ancient BT landline connection does not fail again as it did for 7 weeks in the summer which is why we installed Sure Signal as without it our mobiles do not work....

Just throwing in my tuppence worth. After 3/4 weeks of zero signal and numerous, fruitless communication with Vodafone, I did what others have done and hooked it up to a different provider. I plugged it into a Sky router and left it for 2 days (probably too long) and then plugged it back in to my own VM router and hey presto - it works again.

For those of you who are having problems, have you turned your phone off and then back on? I had to do that before it picked up the signal.

Fingers crossed those of you it hasn't worked for yet get it sorted soon.

This whole escapade has been a total pain in the neck and I expect big apologies and even bigger compensation from Vodafone for their total disregard for us paying customers.

SS now stopped working after connecting to SY & working, phone does not connect in spite of lights  - tried all the usual.

I want three things:

My VF supplied phione unlocked - requests so far declined as 'not supllied by VF' plus...

A PAC code

A resonable financial resolution to my remaining contract, I'm more than willing to pay to escape!

Does anyone on VF read this, what is the point?...........

Been and got my SS back from my friend, just pluged it back into VM hub and will report back later. Fingers Crossed and other things!
