Sure Signal stopped working - help please. (2 flashing lights)

Hello,

I've had my Sure Signal for years now. Worked fine.

The last few weeks it has just had the 2 flashing lights.including thew red flashing light.

I've tried turning it off/on again - not helped.

Tried the reset procedure. No help.

Tried calling Vodafone - they advised they reset the vpn connection at their end. No help.

I've reset it again. No help.

Just the two lights flashing.

 

I've not made any broadband or firewall changes. It's worked fine for 2 years.

 

Can you help please?

I've done several resets however my v3 does nothing with reset button depressed for over 2 minutes when I let go the Internet connection light stops flashing. I unplug it with reset button depressed then Internet connection light comes on after a minute or so unit power light flashes an so do two orange lights. It then reboots itself and the Internet connection light just flashes

Hi michaelsan,

 

Thanks for confirming. Your unit still hasn't made contact with our servers since you registered it. Can you try changing the postcode to ST1 5GP before switching it back again and performing another reset?

 

Have you any firewalls as well that may be preventing connection?

right i've changed the post code and done a reset, no firewall blocking, if this doesn't work i'm sending the piece of crap back

Vodafone - any further ideas or information?I've been without signal in my house due to the sure signal being down for around a month now.

 

Seems to be loads on the forum complaining of similiar issues - can you escalate please?

BT broadband, sure signal v2.

We are still actively investigating this issue with BT but as yet don’t have any more information.

Update - It has connected today - I noticed around 17:30 but maybe a bit earlier.

Can you see it has now connected to your servers (well it has as it is working - lights staying on unit and full 3g etc).

 

Anything changed at the vodafone end (or with the BT fault)?

 

No changes at this end.

 

Let's hope it stays up.

It certainly does show - 22:09 last nioght is the latest connection.

 

I'm not aware of any significant changes at this end, and I can't see whether BT changed anything, but this does sound like good news. 

 

Let us know if it goes again.
