Bought a Sure Signal v3 today,  worked for 2 hours then stopped with a loud band and smell of electrical burning, getting refund tomorrow, wouldn't have another one of these in the house, it was like Watching a test on fake Britain, lucky I was in the room when it decided to blow

Hi Kip

Someone here will be in touch to arrange a replacement as it's more 'public' so they get exhanged.

For piece of mind I would suggest you follow information already given earlier.

1) mount the device in vertical plane with good air space around it.

2) Obtain a short extension cable and mount the socket for the SureSignal to be plugged in.

3) change the fuse in the extension to a 1amp quck blow which can be found at Maplin or such stores.

You can get wall sockets with fuses built in but this will mean changing the actual plug socket.

4) plug the SureSignal into a different ring main to your fridge freezer such as upstairs or not on the kitchen ring if your property is wired as such.

5) switch off when out or away from the property.

Our kitchen is now on it's own breaker which will not trip if SS throws it's mortal coil again, we'll loose power upstairs.

It's ridiculous but this is the safest way to continue to use one.

@KipB It's disappointing to hear you've had issues with your Sure Signal.
Our team will be happy to look into this for you. I've sent you a private message with details on how to get in touch 😊

@Colleen

It's even more disappointing that:

1) Vodafone refuse to acknowledge an issue with this device.

2) That people are still being told units are out of warranty over the phone,  in chat and in stores when there is an agreement made by you acting CEO with Trading Standards to replace.

3) that some within Vodafone wrongly believe that there is only 12 months warranty when it is in fact, 24 months.

How many times are Vodafone going to put responses of disingenuous sympathy for a product that should have been recalled over 3 years ago!!

Open comment to ALL Vodafone employes. Especially forum mods.

How do you live with yourselves ignoring the true issue here?

These devices, YOUR product are rubbish. Yes they work -- usually. Probably more by luck than judgement. When they fail, as they do regularly, dangerously, you all pretend it hasn't happend. Worse, you question the customer's inteligence by suggesting 'they read the forum hints on getting the devices to connect'. They are DEAD.

Ever seen the Monty Python parrot sketch?

The provebial will hit the fan, it has too. What you all going to say & do then?

Yours, in dismay, Dave

If you have reported your SureSignal failure to Trading Standards please can you message me with your reference number they gave you?

Thanks

Hi ndr01,

Tell them in the shop to look at the forum to see what's meant to happen & also tell them to check their CEO's message about SureSignal replacements.

Forum admins....Why can't you people just get it right & do the right & proper thing. Your product is failing through no fault of the owners & you still after all this time haven't got all your employees 'singing from the same sheet'.

Is Vodafone ISO 9001 certified? If so please post the name of your certification body.

Thanks, Dave

Thanks Dave.  I will take that advise.

Alex - I've tried to use the form you sent me the link to, and after completing it I get a blank page, so not sure if you are getting it or not.

@ndr01 If it's submitted correctly, you'll receive an automated email to confirm that we've received it.

This will contain a unique reference number which looks like [#12334456].

If you haven't had this email, we won't have received yours - if this is the case, please clear your cache and cookies or try an alternative browser.

NO... doesn't work in another browser.  Tried clearing everything.

Something else from Vodafone that is just difficult and doesn't work!  Surely there is an easier way of making propper contact with you.  This is ridiculous!
