My sure signal stopped working a week ago. It was absolutely fine and had been working perfectly until we woke up in the morning without any signal at all.
None of the lights would come on. After scouring through the forums for hours and going into the vodafone shop I was advised to buy a new one. It is outside of the 12 month warranty and I was told (in the Dorking store) it would be more expensive to send off for a repair than buy a new one (which seemed mad to me).
Quite frankly I am disgusted at the fact that we have to pay £100 in order to use our contracts. All of my family and most of my partners are loyal vodafone customers and we were quite happy ones. However we now feel we have been failed by vodafone. I know that previously sure signals were given out as a part of a contract or subsidised however this does not seem to be the case any longer.
While on the subject of inconvenient vodafone nuances - why is there no means to email vodafone customer services? Why is this eforum not connected to my actual vodafone account so the technical team can see my details? It seems ridiculous. I do not want to post the serial numbers of my sure signal or any phone numbers as this is a public forum. It seems bizarre! I also now have had to add another username and password to my ever increasing list. For a communications company I would expect better.

Hi JonAr,
If you have a version 1 or 2 Sure Signal, try a new power supply.
They are readily available on Amazon or Ebay and cost around £10 delivered. Just search for 'Sure Signal power Supply'
Both versions use the same power supply which is rated at 12 volts @ 1.5 Amps (Although a 2 Amp version is also available and is an acceptable replacement), it also requires a 5.5x2.5mm connector.
Although I can't guarantee that this is the fault, but there is a good chance that it is, and is worth a try.
Good luck,
Mike.
