Suresignal not working

Hi, I have been through all the trouble shooting steps on my v1 suresignal and was left with it being potentially faulty but I'm loathe to accept that it just suddenly becomes faulty after working fine especially since so many others have the same issue and have been fixed.

I have lights 1 2 and 4 on but nothing on 3.

Can someone please confirm that my firmware has been updated, and when it last connected to your servers?

Thanks my serial number is 21223474558

Register Sure Signal Sorry we are not able to process your request because of following errors in your form. "•Sorry. We couldn't add one or more of the users to your Sure Signal. Please check their details and try again.. •You're already added this person to your Sure Signal. If you'd like to add someone else, please choose another person.. Postcode . Account Setup .Confirmation . Add users A total of 32 numbers can be added to your Sure Signal -then they'll all be able to enjoy great signal in your home or office. Just remember that only four numbers can use Sure Signal at the same time. Your number is already included, so you can now add up to another 31 Vodafone mobile numbers (* Mandatory information) Vodafone will send a text on your behalf to new users confirming they have been added to the Sure Signal at your postcode". ___________________________________________________________________________________________ Hi again Laura, I deregistered yesterday as advised by you - yet today your system suggested that I am already registered and would not therefore accept my RE register today! BB: I DEFFO deregistered yesterday - so even here your system is letting me down! What do I do now, try deregistering AGAIN - or what please as I'm becoming more & more frustrated with Vodafone here as still getting totally NOWHERE after over a week of trying! Yours disappointed, Jim

Sorry about THREE posts for same thing, but the system on here had kept telling me my post had errors, so kept sending! As for the DE register of my Suresignal 1 I believe the whole thing is a farce, because I thouight I'd de-registered yesterday, but as there was no OTHER way of deregistering I had 'opted out' - which may not be the correct way to go - and that's maybe why today I am being told I cannot RE register as I never actually probably DE registered? Sorry but I'm getting even MORE confused as you probably will see - so maybe YOU (or Vodafone) will have to deregister me to enable me to re-register??

Hi holmroad,

Your Sure Signal is still showing deregistered. Please find steps here on how to register it.

Hi Sukhi, Just to let you know that on top of all the other tests we've already cpmpleted (traces etc) - and that now I'm RE registered successfully I am STILL getting a rubbish signal from my Suresignal version 1 from over 5 metre radius away! The phone signal indicator shows the little upside down eggshell/2 downstrike lightening forks strong when my Galaxy Note 3 phone no. ending ...1159 is close up to box, but it rapidly disappears the further away I go! I did switch my phone off/on again before trying it after re registering - but I HAVEN'T rebooted the Suresignal box as you (or Laura) didn't answer me earlier when I asked? So maybe I should try that? Either way I still feel that my Suresignal box is not performing as it should, i.e. giving a good signal up to 30 metres radius away - so what can Vodafone do for me now please - as I assume we must have now virtually exhausted all recvovery routines possible? NB: I cannot afford a new £100 box, when after all, my version 1 box should be working anyway? Please also remember that I have been with Vodafone for OVER 20 years - for my sins!! lol!! Regards, Jim

Hi Jim,

Thanks for the update.

Yes please try re-booting the Vodafone Sure Signal.

Make sure the Vodafone Sure Signal is not enclosed in a cupboard.

If this is still not working for you, please try the device in another location.

Cheers,

Laura

Hi Laura, Latest:- Rebooted box as in post 2, switched Galaxy Niote 3 off/on again, all four green lights again displayed for one minute plus full signal on phone, then back to 3 out of top 4 green lights off again! Difficult to move box too much as Sky router in my pc room with main BT socket in same place - so have moved it around the room (small bedroom) - but still identical results - plus phone signal hopeless over 5 metres away! So still at square one it seems Laura, sorry! So what now please? Regards, Jim - and thanks again for trying!

Hi Jim,

If the Sure Signal doesn't work on another internet connection (say at a friend or relatives house), then I'm afraid the unit may have a fault.

As it's now a few years out of warranty, you can purchase a new one here.

Many thanks,

Ben

Thanks Ben, Not really what I wanted to hear, as I'm a pensioner, £100 is a mega lot of money for me on fixed pathetic income, been with Vodafone over 20 years and had hopefully anticipated more from the aforesaid! Is there absolutely NO way around this problem please? Regards, Jim

Hi holmroad,

We're unable to discount Sure Signals I'm afraid.

All the best,
