Suresignal not working

Hi, I have been through all the trouble shooting steps on my v1 suresignal and was left with it being potentially faulty but I'm loathe to accept that it just suddenly becomes faulty after working fine especially since so many others have the same issue and have been fixed.

I have lights 1 2 and 4 on but nothing on 3.

Can someone please confirm that my firmware has been updated, and when it last connected to your servers?

Thanks my serial number is 21223474558

Hi Kay, Thanks for your very disappointing reply - at least I now know where I stand with Vodafone eh? lol!! Regards, Jim

Hi holmroad,

Given that the retail price of Vodafone Sure Signal is already heavily subsidised, it's unfortunate you feel this way.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts all the same.

Cheers,

Ben

Hi Ben, nothing personal, just saying it as it is mate!

Bottom line is that I trusted Vodafone to supply me a Suresignal box at THEIR suggestion to improve my signal etc here in the country where most providers give a crap signal - thats Vodafone, O2, T-Mobile, 3, etc - and at first it DID!

However it no longer seems 'fit for purpose' - and Vodafone seem totally unable to help me recover my 'missing' extended signal due to the device being out of warranty - all of which seems to be a somewhat tame excuse - especially to a loyal Vodafone customer of over 20 years standing!

Just think of all the money Vodafone have made out of my continued loyalty - but then, what does loyalty stand for any more in 2014?

Cheers, Jim

Thanks so much Sukhi, I'll try again tomorrow then in the hopes that your download works!

Would that explain why my Sky router does not appear to be recognising my Suresignal 1 box?

Assume you dont require my Suresignal 1 mac address too?

@ Pete:- Hi Pete, You stated above that you reset your router ports to those values - please explain EXACTLY how you managed to do this please mate, as I failed miserably with my Sky Hub Router model SR101? @Sukhi:- I will try resetting my Suresignal box vers 1 this afternoon AND switch off/on the two phones currently attempting to connect, in the hopes that your firmware download you say you sent down yesterday (Monday 8th Sept 2014) has worked! NB: I cannot believe how many problems Vodafone seem to be experiencing with the various models of the Suresignal boxes - why on earth is it that they ALL seem to be having very similar issues? Do ANY of them actually work consistently? Regards

Sure Signal v3 Ser. No. 40132605193 On Saturday morning 25th. October two telephones indicated “Service not available”. Power light = steady red Internet = steady white Service = steady white Users = OFF Seemingly the S.Sig v3 and Vodafone were not correctly speaking to one-an-other. Over the past year we have experienced several mains power failures and three internet failures caused by vandalism and planned outages. In all these cases a simple power off; wait; power on and the S.Sig v3 re-connected in less than 10 mins. I have attempted several times to encourage a re-connection: Switch power OFF; make a cup of tea eat biscuits, restore power and allow the SSigv3 to try to re-connect. Press the ‘re-set’ button on the S.Sig.v3. Disconnect the internet cable with combinations of power on/off combined with the re-set Button. All to no avail. After trying to reconnect for several hours the S.Sig falls to the fault mode of:- Power = Red flashing Internet = Steady orange Service = OFF Users = Steady orange PLEASE HELP. Hi mate,

Apart from assuming you are experiencing issues with your Sure Signal Version 3, not sure what else you are trying to actually say here mate?

Presume you still have a fault?

Vodaf requested me to change my setting*s in my Galaxy Note 3 to '2G'' as their signal is so crap here in North Lincs (i.e. no 4G or even 3G!) and thus my extended vers 1 Suresignal is still totally inadequate to really help me - so I feel very let down here by Vodafone!

They are even telling me that because I cant get better than 2 or 3G here, there would also be no point at all in my upgrading to Version 3 Suresignal!

What a mess?

@dmlox

I've checked the Sure Signal using the serial number and can see that it's connected and appears working from this side.

The lights you describe also indicate that the Sure Signal is ready to take calls.

Please can you let me know if you're still having difficulties.
