Using Vodafone India SIM internatiknally

Hi,

I would be using an India Issued Vodafone SIM in the USA mainly for receiving text messages like OTP.

I was asked to turn off mobile data and only use WiFi. I have done that on my IPhone 6s.

I am still seeing 'No Service' (Signal strength is very good).

I have selected TMobile for local carrier connection per the Chennai Vodafone agent's suggestion

Any pointers to re config anything else?

Just to advise this is the Vodafone UK Community Forum which is not connected to your countries Vodafone Network even tho they share the Vodafone brand.

I would suggest checking in with your own countries Vodafone Customer Services to check you are all set up for Roaming with No Bars turned On in your account. 

Try manually choosing another network in the phone too. 

If you can access your Network App ie myvodafone then check no bars are present there.

Problem Solved!

Vodafone India support guys called me (@0130 though!) to suggest I connect to AT&T instead of T-Mobile as per their earlier recommendation.
