Has anyone tried using a BT Home Hub 5 with the VF box.

Plugging the WAN port of the HH5 into a LAN port on the VF

@pdc95 We don't support the use of third party routers.

You'd need to use your Vodafone Connect router in order to access your broadband connection.

@pdc95

If you're having trouble with our supplied router, please speak with our Broadband team who'll have a look into it for you.

Using an access point helps, I am trying to get a HH5 to act as an access point

I have now got the HH5 to work as an access Point by :-

Change IP to 192.168.1.200

DCHP off

WIFI no sync set up 2 SIDS for 2.4 & 5GHz

WPS off

Firewall off

upnp off

connect LAN to LAN

You then have a fast N300 Access point which can be picked up on ebay for less than £5

Do you need a VF username and password for this? If so, how to obtain?

I have VF box and  home hub 5 which I would like to re-use

Also have original Openrach box

VF box upstairs and HH5 downstairs connect by one ethernet lead
