Hello
Just noticed last night that both the system and call lights are flashing together on my V2 Suresignal. I'm not sure how long it's been like that but it's been a while since I've received any calls at home!
The serial number is 40120148032. A resync and reset has sorted it out when I've had this problem previously.
Thanks

I tried it at a friends this afternoon and it connected without difficulty.
I've plugged it in at home again and it's connected and working! I've done nothing else so no idea why it's working this time and not before, but problem solved.

Hi,
As I explained in my previous post I am in constant contact with the ISP who is being most helpful. They have many VSS users on thier network in other parts of the country. I would really appreciate some technical answers so that together we may solve this problem. Could one of your technical people please explain what the VSS is trying to accomplish with its arp requests wchich I gave examples of in my original post viz.
Meanwhile tracedump shows constant arp exchenges between the VSS and the Router e.g.
19:52:48.926332 arp who-has LENOVO-4C478D24 tell 192.168.0.103
19:52:48.926353 arp reply LENOVO-4C478D24 is-at xx:yy:zz:aa:bb:cc (oui Unknown)
20:08:06.243923 arp who-has 192.168.0.103 tell 192.168.0.1
20:08:11.360671 arp who-has 192.168.0.1 tell 192.168.0.103
20:08:46.524736 arp who-has 192.168.0.1 (Broadcast) tell 192.168.0.103
20:24:52.955982 arp who-has 192.168.0.103 tell 192.168.0.1
20:24:58.072568 arp who-has 192.168.0.1 tell 192.168.0.103
20:25:32.991660 arp who-has 192.168.0.1 (Broadcast) tell 192.168.0.103
When I configure the set up so I can tcpdump the traffic from the router which has only the VSS behind I get similar constant arp traffic with the vodafone servers (suspect trying to set up VPN?)
22:41:15.845399 arp who-has dnsbom3.uk.access.vodafone.net tell 192.168.1.202
22:41:18.748986 arp who-has cluster12.vap.vodafone.co.uk tell 192.168.1.202
22:41:23.843838 arp who-has 88.82.13.173 tell 192.168.1.202
22:41:23.844862 arp who-has dnsbom3.uk.access.vodafone.net tell 192.168.1.202
22:41:27.843807 arp who-has 88.82.13.173 tell 192.168.1.202
THis is the stage it does not get past.
Thanks

Hi Ben,
Pardon my frustration but for the third time - I am in regular contact with my ISP who is very technically competant and extremely helpful. As my previous post say - they have opened all the relevant ports, put the VSS in the DMZ and assured me that the MTU=1500 and a DNS server addressed is passed to the VSS (and any other device) attached. What else do you want them to do or test please to advance the resolution of the issue?

Hi davidmell,
If we've exhausted all options from here we'll need to refer this up to a specialist for you. This will require account access to create a case so I've sent instructions on how to reach my team here.
Many thanks, Ben
