Hi all, well I've trawled the Net and found no way to get VSS to work with Apple Time Capsule. I'm using a Draytek Vigor 120 modem, as some others do with TC. Seems like a PPPoE issue but no solution forthcoming.
Vodafone have been hopeless. They first texted me 5 ports to forward, then told me I needed to forward 12. I forwarded them using TC but nothing, just the usual top flashing light on VSS but nothing else.
Finally, Voda told me my box was faulty (VSS 1) and are sending me a free replacement box version 2 which they said would work. I don't believe the first box is faulty nor that version 2 will work. I'm in a semi-rural area and the Voda signal is hopeless. But I'm stuck in a contract, so there you go. Bit of a bummer, since I love my new Time Capsule and modem.
Don't expect to find a solution on the Net; there isn't one.
Just FYI.
Cheers,
David

I'll plug it in tonight, and see what happens.
I would suggest that leaving it overnight, maybe 24 hours, would be worthwhile, to see if it just takes a little longer to synchronise.

All plugged in and waiting — however, it's been around a bit, and I can't remember if my phone is even still registered on it, and I've no idea what my username or password might be to get to My Account to manage it
I'll see whether it's even syncing up, and work out how to go from there — no sign of network activity at the moment, though, although I can see the device has an IP address assigned via DHCP.
Would one of the Tech Team mind taking a look at my Sure Signal's registration status, please? (Contact details in my profile.) It's serial number is:

OK, let's see how you and I get on by tomorrow! Thanks again for going to so much trouble.
Good night,
David

As of this morning, nothing at all — just a power light.
A potential problem indicator is that the Internet access light never flashed, nor did the Ethernet connection lights on the back of the device show any signs of life at all — although it has been handed an IP address, I'm not sure it's actually attempting to send any data out. It has been in a drawer for the best part of a year and a bit, perhaps longer, which might explain it, although hopefully someone on the team here can confirm its status.

It may have been suspended due to inactivity. One of the team will be able to check it out for you!

Hi All
Thanks for your posts and updates regarding connection of your Sure Signal with Time Capsule. As we're not too sure on this one I've referred it to one of our Sure Signal specialists and as soon as I have response I'll be on to update the thread.
@Neil_Brown - I've checked your Sure Signal serial number and it's currently inactive as it's not connected to the network since 11/09/11. It's not showing as suspended yet however so if you wish I can force a resync and this should kick it back into life for you.
Thanks
Simon
