Serial Number: 21221759794
For the last week, although lights 1,2 & 4 are on, none of our 3 phones are getting 3G and when making calls, light 3 doesn't flash. So something isn't right.
We've followed all the troubleshooting guides, hard reset the VSS1 and everything, but we're in exactly the same situation.
Can someone help please?

Hi nate_frog and WannabeMKII,
I’ve sent your serial numbers to our support team to ask them to push the latest version of firmware out to you.
The firmware will be sent out in the next 24 hours so keep your eyes on your devices.
Don’t reset them or unplug them and let me know how you go on.
Thanks,
Andrew

Have chnged postcode to ST... about 12-14 hours ago, did not receive any confirmation messages but the VSS did appear to go through a restart sequence just after.
Shall I change back to correct postcode now ?
There are no issues with leaving VSS connected permanently.
Thanks
Iain.

Hi,
@Neil – Please take a look at our Sure Signal Troubleshooting thread. If this doesn’t resolve your query, please post your reply either below, or in the relevant thread, together with the details requested, including the following information.
Your speed test results from here.
Your ping test results from here.
Your external IP address from here.
The results of a traceroute.
Your Sure Signal serial number:
VSS Traceroute command
On a PC:
Click on Start and select Run
Type CMD into the Run box and press enter/click ok
A black box will appear.
In this box type tracert 212.183.133.177 press Enter
Paste the output of this command into your reply.
This will help us get the quickest possible resolution for you.
@Iain – Thanks for getting back to us.
I can see the ST postcode has now updated, please could you swap it back?
After you’ve swapped it back please leave it for an hour then perform a re set:
This should push the latest software through.
Please let us know how you get on.
Thanks,
Gemma

Thanks Gemma, followed instructions and both phones now connecting again !
Will the VSS auto update any future firmware changes or do I need to subscribe to an alerts service ?
Many thanks
Iain.

Hi guys,
Neilg199 - I’ve taken a look at your traceroute and your hops are extremely high! These need to be below 200ms.
You’ll need to contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP) to see if they can help improve your speeds.
imcewen – That’s great! Thanks for letting us know!
Yes any future updates should be automatic.
Thanks,
Jenny
