This thread has been created to discuss and troubleshoot the version 3 Sure Signal when the light sequence is as follows:
Cause
This light sequence indicates the Sure Signal's not active and it has been unable to authenticate on the Vodafone network
Troubleshooting
Please restart your Sure Signal. If the symptoms continue please add the following details to this thread:
Traceroute command:
On a PC:
On a Mac:
This will help us get the quickest possible resolution for you.

Hi everyone posting on here - my experience from previous Suresignal meltdowns by Vodafone is that they take ages to respond to this forum. Call 191 to get a response (which will still be useless and of course you need to find somewhere with signal........)

Have VSS 3 and after working for a month or so, I have the above symptoms. I have restarted the device twice no so I have conducted the tests as per your trouble shooting guide and the results are as follows:

Reading other threads this seems to be a big issue today.
Also seems to be affecting people on Plusnet.

Hello all,
Today's problem does appear to be for all Plusnet customers but not sure what the cause or solution is, so any help from the Tech Team on here would be very much appreciated. I've had a sync done and reset several times but still not working!!!! Please help if possible as I depend on my SureSignal for my mobile signa at home!!!

PlusNet and VF seem to be working on the flood of replies to this thread,and others today as the issue seems to be affecting PlusNet customers predominantly,
The issue does appear to be related to VPN traffic, but since there are not too many people using VPNs other than the one the SS creates to VF, this is the most common problem seen today.
