Vmc Issues With Lenovo X60

Hello,
I searched but did not find an answer. After installing VMC, tried 9.3.6 as well as the 9.2 that came with the CD, ALL networking including regular Ethernet becomes very slow. If I restore to before the installation of VMC all is fine. The PC-Card works but the computer is not usable on LAN or WLAN when VMC is installed. I also have Lenovo Access Connections 5.3 (upgraded from 5.2) installed.

Anyone knows what is going on?

I've got to be honest. I'm not entirely sure how the VMC software can affect a LAN connected via Ethernet. Very puzzling.

The VMC software is effectively just a GUI (Graphical User Interface) that runs over the top of the Windows Connection Manager. You can try connecting to the internet using the 'Connect to' option within the Start Menu. You should see a Vodafone connection within there that you will be able to use which bypasses the VMC Software.

If anyone else have got any thoughts on this please feel free to let us know.

There are two things that may happen.
1) When VMC is installed so are the drivers, 'wireless' service etc.
2) There may be a conflict with the Lenovo software that manages connections.

Overall after the install any networking is slow, wifi, ethernet etc. As I installed the software/drivers twice both with the same result going on and then off the system I believe there is something there.
