From your post in connection to a Hard Reset I assume this is what you have tried.
When a phone has a removeable battery and glitches like this happen it is a generic troubleshooting tip to try an alternative original battery.
What i would suggest is to visit your most Local Vodafone HighStreet Store where they may let you try one of their phone batteries in your phone (handset dependant if battery is removable)
If this does not help and a factory reset / hard reset have not cleared the issue and your on the latest firmware available then the phone may need to be sent away to Vodafone's repair centres.
Vodafone apply 24 Month Warranties on the phone.
