Vodafone Broadband - Speed below contracted.

Hello there,

I have been monitoring my recently installed bradband speed using Speedtest and I am getting speeds between 5 and 12 download speed when I had on average 30 with my previous provider.

http://www.speedtest.net/result/5616407599.png

I contracted 70 but now I am getting less than what my previous suplier was providing.

Should I complain?  Is this normal as a new customer?  What do I need to expect?

I work from home and speed is critical for me.

Suggestions?

I believe it was in fact a matter of either waiting for the issues to be resolved "on its own" or the comments in this forum made "someone finish the configuration...".

That would be the Line Management kicking in and doing it's thing - the comments on here wouldn't have had any impact as your forum account and broadband account are in no way linked.  What is good is that it didn't even take the full 10 - 14 days to do it.

I'd still recommend that you don't reset or turn off your router for the next 10 - 14 days as the Line Management will kick in and potentially reduce the speed.

Hi @Bexhill35

If your speeds don't stabilise over the next few days the best way forward is to call our broadband team on 08080 034 515 and we'll look into this further.
