Hi, every body
I'm a new user on here,

I've just received K3760 from my friend, for the first time plug into my Computer, the VCM auto install and device working.

But then when i plug into another computer, the ZeroCD is not appear and i Windows ask for install driver for "Globetrotter HSUPA modem" device, I tried on some PCs with Windows XP, Vista, 7... and don't have better result.

I've tried to type "AT_OMSIDSW" to modem, but it worked only this time, still can not run on any another PCs.

I'm wondering the Plug'n'Play function of my K3760 is permanently disabled ? :(

Can any body help me ?

Thanks in advance !

Hi henzaimz,

Firstly, a very warm welcome to the eForum Family, it's always great to see new faces on here :).

I seem to recall that there was a plug and play issue a while back when the K3760 was first launched. Essentially, what would happen is that in some cases the plug and play would disable itself after installing the VMC software for the first time.

If you're having issues then I'd recommend downloading the latest version of VMC from the following link: VMC Version 9.4.6. This also contains driver support for the K3760 so should resolve your issue.

Let me know how you get on :).

Hi, George
Thank you for your reply,

I tried to re-install VMC and it working well, but i want i can bring my dongle to anywhere and can plug'n'play on any PC without VMC CD-ROM or USB flash.

I think the ZeroCD function on this device is disabled, and not all of K3760 have same problem, so i think will exist another way to re-activate that function.

Do you know and can help me ?
Thanks !

Hi henzaimz,

As far as I'm aware there isn't a way around this without installing software from a disc or via the web. I will seek clarification though.

Dear George,

Thank you for your reply,

I found that my device has :
VID = 0x0AF0
PID = 0x7501
So, i think this is "Pico Racer" device.

As this thread : http://forum.vodafone.co.uk/index.php?show...racer&st=20

Mr. DaveN_Vodafone said that :

From your description, it sounds like you're using the black "Pico Racer" modem - this one will only run the autostart install program once - if you uninstall then you need to trigger it to start manually via "My Computer".

But that is not clear enough.

Can you help me for manually trigger it ?

Thanks!

Hi henzaimz

Thanks for your post here. I can completely appreciate how frustrating this must be for you.

With the flash drive attached to the computer, open up windows explorer (my computer). Find the drive letter corresponding to the flash drive, right click and choose properties. Go to the "auto play" tab and choose what action you want performed automatically when the flash drive is attached. The best option in most cases is to choose the option that says "prompt me about what to do" (Its along those lines, I don't remember the exact wording). :)

Give that a whirl and if you have any further questions just give me a shout! :)

Thanks

Dear, Wayne

Thank you for your reply here !

I tried to do as you said, but still not have a better result in my case. I think the problem does not relate to driver or Connection software, it is the problem with device's firmware and setting and maybe only Option's Manufacture know how is it.

I will try on web to find out the solution.

Thank you
