Vodafone Mobile Broadband - Vodafone Mobile Connect & System Preferences Error On Mac Os X 10.4.11

Hi,

I acquired a K3565 pay as you go USB modem a couple of months ago, and have got it working on my Macbook, running OS X 10.4.11.

I downloaded Vodafone Mobile Connect for Mac v 2.11.06 and used it to enter the custom settings. To use the modem I plug it in, start the application 'Internet Connect', select 'Vodafone K3565' and press 'Connect'. (for some reason I also have a tab labelled 'Huawei Mobile', so presumably I pressed something twice. I can ignore it anyway) Apart from the extra tab in Internet Connect, all is well with using it.

However, if I choose System Preferences -> Network on the Macbook, the screen opens with a pop up message which says 'Your network settings have been changed by another application' The only button available says 'OK' so I press that. The box disappears for a second, then reappears exactly as before. The only way out of this loop is to Force Quit the System Preferences, which means that I can't use this application at all.

Any ideas how I fix this?

Regards,

Paul

Hello Paul and welcome to the eForum.

I'm afraid I’m slightly confused on this one and will have to wait for one of our 'Mac mods ' to come in and offer some advice, it does seem like a conflict has occurred at installation although it's quite possible that the solution may lie in simply switching of a setting somewhere within your preferences.

We'll have to get back to you with a more concise resolution.

Thanks
