I was informed of the update 330HJG1. I downloaded it. It installed, but then an error for the update was shown in the android recovery.
When I switch the phone on, the notification bar does not show, the launcher crashes every few seconds and I am unable to access settings.
I have factory resetted and wiped the cache from the android recovery menu, but this does not fix the problem. Please help me

Please try a hard reset of the handset.
This will delete data in the phones memory.
"
1. Turn off your phone.
2. Press Volume UP + POWER ON the phone.
3. Recovery menu should come UP.
4. Select Factory reset / wipe data using Volume keys and power to select.
5. Repeate it with yes --- delete all data.
6. After hard reset is done select reboot system now.
All of your data will be lost! Back up your data first!

If all else fails Vodafone give a 24 month warranty. Just pop it into your Vodafone store and they'd send it away.
Theydo offer loan phones while yours is away. Typically a returnable deposit is required. The phone is normally a feature phone so very basic.

I agree. It sounds as though the installation has corrupted and the firmware will need to be reflashed.
As many of the Vodafone devices are budget ones and have limited resources, I'd consider the following before a firmware update:
1. Clear Recent Apps
2. Restart the phone
3. Don't do anything else before the update
This should give the device as much working memory and as few running processes as possible and therefore the best chance of the process succeeding.
