Vodafone Sure Signal V2 solid red light only

Hi I have been using my Vodafone Sure Signal V2-V for 2 years now without any problems.

 

However it has now stopped working entirely and only has the red power light on. Even when I press the reset button only the power light blinks for a couple of seconds after around 30 seconds then goes solid again.

 

I have checked all connections the SS2 is definetly got and IP address and is passing traffic through the PC port in the back. I have also checked all cables working fine.

 

speed test results 2.78 mbps down, 033Mbps upload - this is usually higher up in the 6-7mb area but BT say there is no issues in my area - I have a BT Home Hub 3 on ADSL

Hi khanja, 

 

Everything is fine with your traceroute. 

 

I can see you did a resync and the Sure Signal connected to our servers in the early hours of this morning, can you confirm if it's now working? 

 

If not please do a reset to see if this helps;

 

-Hold in the reset button until all lights go solid

-Pull the power lead out with the reset button still pushed in

-Continue to hold down the reset button and reconnect the power lead

-Wait for all lights to come on and then release the reset button

Hi odd but it looks like both phones are getting signal now though no other lights are on the box apartfrom the red power light?

I have checked your Sure Signal and all seems well.

 

The light sequence seems odd though, are you still only seeing the power light?

Yes definetly still working but still only one red bar - the box was dropped perhaps a loose wire to the LEDs??

It’s great to see that your Sure Signal is working.

 

It’s a possibility that a wire to the LEDs has come loose in the device.

 

Luckily, as you’ve found, this won’t affect how the unit works.
