Vodafone USB stick 7.2Mbps mobile broadband

Absolute disaster - signed up for the £15 monthly pay service, tied for 18 months I think.

Used it once in UB8 postcode and managed 106kbps - That lasted 3 minutes before loosing connection.

Now tried it in HP22 postcode and can't even detect a signal > from any source.

What a waste of money, would have been easier just to get a couple of hundred quid and stuffed it down the drain.

Guess I'm not going to get any help on this > signed up in Dec 09 > as far as I can see been sold something not fit for purpose, the USB stick does not even make a good door stop !!

Anyone wish to reply ? Thoughts, suggestions, how far you can frisbee a USB stick etc.

to add to above,

USB flashes on and off two flashes in green - popup comes up with RAS error code 691 ( yay me seemed to have joined that club )

All I want is mobile broadband that I can plug in my laptop, use and have minimal or expected no hassles with.

to add also I've been trying on and off over the last 3 months, random times of day inc stupid o'clock and a very naff service, as I said, best was 106kps in UB8 briefly.

Tried it on two machines, still naff service.

Anyway to cancel contract as it does not do anything like it's supposed to do. I monthly pay by direct debit

I'm sorry that you've had to join us under such circumstances and that you're not getting a good signal.

Can you give me a more specific postcode for when you're trying to use the dongle?

I've checked the general area and there are patches of good coverage and patches of zero coverage.
To help me narrow down why you're not getting the service you need, I'll need to know exactly where you are when you're using it.

As discussed elsewhere, I've had the same issue across seven different UK locations. Are you seriously suggesting that I just happened to visit seven locations where the 3G modem service from Vodafone UK is below par?

Thanks for your Postcode. I've had a look and cannot see any reason why you cannot get 3G in this area.
