Vodafone Wallet won't set up...

I have a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge on Voda. 

Today I got the NFC sim card. 

 

It's all set up with my number transferred etc. 

 

I downloaded the Vodafone Wallet app and started setup using Wifi, which I've now realised that you're not meant to use wifi. 

 

Whenever I try to open the app it says: 

 

Unable to open Wallet

Wallet is currently setting up and can't open. Please try again later. 

 

It's been like that for hours and I've already tried uninstalling it and reinstalling, switching off wifi for a while, and turning the phone off and back on numerous times. 

 

I'm out of ideas and fed up with this.

Are you able to clear the apps data within the phones settings?

 

One possible option maybe as a last resort is to create a back up of your stored information and then factory reset which takes the phone back to the last firmware update. Again a last resort and I hope you get this sorted.

I'm coming to this more than slightly belatedly.  Does the fact that you haven't posted back mean that you've got it working?

 

I've seen and had issues transferring wallet from one device to another.   I'm not sure whether you need to uninstall from the old device first (and whether it knows if you have anyway).   It does seem to take 24 hours to recognise what you're doing and work OK after that.  Is that what happened for you?
