Hi,

I’m trying from last 3 weeks block my phone whit you cause whas stolen and to get mine insurance claim phone need to be blacklisted. I called Vodafone like few times speaking whit different people and here is what I’ve got:

- first person take details, imei number and said device will be blocked in 48h. NOTHING HAPPENS obviously.

- second person said she can’t block my phone cause i purchase it in Carphone Warehouse and need to call them. They said they not blocking phones and send me back to Vodafone.

- third person was brilliant . She said that only Police can block my device! (I was on Police , got crime number) obviously still NOTHING HAPPENS

- fourth person. Same story take details, take imei nr he said it’s gone be blocked  in 5 working days. NOTHING HAPPENS!!

So now I cannot claim insurance cause for Vodafone it’s rocket science to blocked imei nr right?? What i can do to get this sorted????????

Hi @busad

As long as youve used the phone recently on the Vodafone they can Imei block it.

Carphone Warehouse cannot.

The Police cannot.

Let the Team here catch up with your post and they'll help you with this situation

Hi @busad

It is appalling that Vodafone Customer Services are continuously giving out this incorrect information to customers.  Providing the phone has been used with a Vodafone SIM, there will be no problems IMEI blocking and blacklisting the phone to enable you to complete your insurance claim and preventing missuse of your phone.

At least by coming to the forum, you have found the place to get this sorted.  Wait for one of the Team to get to the thread.
