Vodafone app on iPhone not working

The Vodafone app wont start on my iPhone 6. It lets me download but when I try to open it I get an error message saying 'WE'RE HAVING A FEW TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES AT THE MOMENT. WE'RE WORKING HARD TO GET THINGS SORTED'.

 

I've made various phone calls and on line chats where I have been promised the issue will be sorted with 72 hours, however, it hasnt. I've been promised phone calls as well that have never happened.

 

Problem seemed to start right at the time I upgraded my account (kept handset, chose a lower price plan). The app worked fine before this...

 

Frustrated! Please help.

Hi there

 

You need to remove the app from any iCloud back up being done on your phone so it isn't reinstalling the old data.  Then download it again from the App Store.

Go to settings - general - Storage and iCloud usage - Manage Storage 

 

Wait for the various apps to load and scroll down until you see the My Vodafone App and press on it and then hit 'delete app'

Hi, done that and it's still coming up with same message...any more ideas please?

When did you upgrade?

 

I've read in the past that after an account upgrade sometimes myvodafone does not work properly until the first new bill is generated. However it should launch. 

 

Try holding the power button and home button until the Apple logo shows and let go of both to reset the iPhone.

 

If none of this works including the previous suggestions then please perservere with customer service.  

 

Is your myvodafone online working ?

I upgraded around May/June time so I've had a couple of bills.

 

I can log into Vodafone on the internet with no issues, its just the app that has stopped working.

I've tried the soft reset as well, but it just come up with same error message.

Hi,

 

This is a last resort. 

 

Create a a back up to iCloud. 

 

Go into settings-General-Reset-Erase all Content and Settings. 

 

When finished reset up the iPhone ,but choose Set up as a new device. 

 

Download the Vodafone App and see if it works. 

 

If it works the original app is at fault. 

 

If not its most probably your Vodafone account. 

 

You you can really download your settings / data via the iCloud back up or start again if you wish.

Cheers, just tried that. Deleted everything and downloaded Vodafone app... error message still come up!!  aaaaarrrrrrrrrgggggghhhhhh
