Vodafone pre pay dongle - wont connect via VMC

I have a colleague who i bought a pre pay dongle for and he has changed his laptop and reinstalled the dongle on it.

Whe he tries to connect it comes up wit a message error 619 - I then changed the APN to pp.internet and the dongle tries to connect but just shows the box with the connecting to vodafone box with the blue progressive line for 10 mins or so until i get bored.

This laptop is part of a domain and wa used with a different dongle before.

Hi bagman,

I can imagine that this issue must be quite frustrating, I'm confident it can be resolved though :).

Error 619 most commonly means that the APN is incorrect. Which version of the pre-pay modem are you using? If it's the Rev 2 then the APN will need to be changed to ppbundle.internet, with web and web as the username and password respectively.

It also may be worth downloading the latest supported version of VMC (Vodafone Mobile Connect), this can be found at the following link: VMC 9.4.6.
