So i recently returned my Note7 (the exploding one yes) to carphone warehouse - after waiting over a month i finally got my deposit i paid back to me and was told i would need to contact Vodafone (message below)
"Thanks for your e-mail.
I have checked in your account and can see that the return has now been done and your refund processed. Thank you for confirming receipt of this.
With regards to your contract cancellation, as it was an upgrade your processed, which we have now reversed, your existing number will again be eligible to upgrade once more. We therefore can't get a PAC code as only you can request this from Vodafone directly. Now that the upgrade has been cancelled and reversed, you should be back on your old tariff, meaning you can either upgrade with Vodafone or ask them for a PAC which will terminate your existing contract.
I believe Vodafone will have rejected your initial request for a PAC code as the cancellation of your upgrade was still in progress, meaning their systems would have shown your upgrade was still live. Now this has been fully reversed however, they should be able to issue you with a PAC code"
But after multiple phone calls and hours spent on the online chat they keep telling me i will need to pay for the remining term of my contract!! - Why do i have to keep paying for a handset i have already returned?

Hi @mook1
With the reply coming from Carphone and with you being a Carphone Warehouse customer, Carphone should be handling enquiries on your behalf to make sure everything is in order after the return of the handset.
From what has been written, your contract has been reverted back to the tariff prior to upgrade as it should have been, this can be confirmed by logging into your online account, and will continue running on a month to month basis until you contact Vodafone to cancel or request a PAC code. There is further information below.
How do I cancel my Pay monthly contract?

Woo!
So after your advice i rang again and was put through to an amazing guy named Andrew - he saw that the dates on my tariff were incorrect and got someone anmed Niomi to sort it. I now have my PAC code and am free of the Note7 nightmare!!!
