My screen has gone so dark i can hardly see it, is this a phone fault ? even trying to adjust contrast you cant see it. i bought this from Tesco but they have told me to contact Vodaphone to check ?

Can you try a soft reboot by turning the phone off and on.
If if all the settings look OK and it won't change then you could try a factory reset. Make a back up to preserve the information in the phones storage.
If no joy the phone has a 24 month warranty. Any Vodafone shop can look at it for you and if deemed necessary send it off.
Manufacturing warranty does not cover issues caused by drops or water damage.
Take Time / Date stamped pictures of the device to show the condition you sent it back in And one if it turned on. Ask the employee to note its condition too.
