Voicemail activation

Hi.

I went through the procedure for activating voicemail, but people were telling me that when they couldn't get through, they were getting a 'number unavailable' message.  So I rang 191 and the guy said that this was because I had 'calling over WiFi'.  He said that the voicemail activation was a bit different because of this, and promised to send me a text with the codes to activate voicemail.

The SMS duly arrived, and is borderline incomprehensible.  First one is:

CF Not Reachable *62
*121[my mobile number] *#call

What exactly am I supposed to do with that?

I tried dialing 121 and my number, but it went straight through to voicemail.  I tried '*62*' and my number, and then '*#call' but got an error.

So basically, what I want to do is to understand these codes.  Can someone help?

Thanks.

Hi,

My voicemail does not work and I am unabel to activate  and even though I have had my business account with vodafone since Feb this year and even after repeated calls and messages to Vodafone customer services and promised callbacks by Vodafone tech help my voicemail still does not work.

This is starting to get very annoying and I have had repeated escalations to the technical dept and asked to dial certain numbers, switch off, dial another number etc each time.

Should I just change provider?

May I just add that I have been having a problem with my voicemail and that it has never worked since moving to Vodafone in Feb this year. Even after repeated calls, escalations to the tech department, being told each time it's the wifi calling etc. yours seems to have gone at least one step further though I would be interested to know if the sms works.

Rgds,

Louis

@bramcup2017 We'd like to look into this for you - please contact us using the information in the private message I've sent.

@Louca I can see you've mentioned this is a business account, therefore you'd need to contact our Business team directly.

Finally it has been resolved. Wifi Calling is not a feature available on my iphone 6 and the soltuion was simply to remove it from my service plan.

It was only after I specifically asked why I was constantly being asked to turn off Wifi Calling when I didn't have it on my phone that the customer representative realised I was using an iphone 6 and suggested I remove it from my phone plan. She was literally about to escalate my case again (!) to the technical department for the upteenth time.

Wish they had suggested this 4 months ago!
