Voicemail issue Sony X Compact

Hi

When I go to settings>call>call forwarding and chose any of the divert options, I get asked to enter 121 I guess then I get 'unexpected response from network'.

I visited local vodashop and guy turned off my voicemail subscription and after sms confirming this I'd have to dial 1211 of which is always out of service.

When I call my phone it goes to voicemail when unanswered and I can turn on 'always forward' when I call 121 but not via settings.

Help Appreciated

Hi @gazmix8

You don't mention is you are PAYG or contract.

The first thing to try is to cancel all diverts, this is done by keying in ##002# and pressing the call button.

Your voicemail box should autromatically be switchen on, when your diverts are cleared, 1211 should turn on your mailbox.  If this does not work, you will have an issue with your mailbox and this will need account access from live chat or Customer Services.

There is further information for you below.

How do I set up and manage my voicemail?

The account has been accessed in store via the tech guy and reset however dialling 1211 ain't working, always 'try again later'.

I'm on a contract with phone.

I will try ##002# and report back.

OK I dialled the number ##02# which notified me voicemail was successful turned off, I then dialled 1211 with it still out of order.

When this has happened in the past, a reset at the Vodafone end has been necessary and Customer Services have normally been able to do it.   I din't know whether shops have the same access so, in the first instance, give Live Chat a go.   If they can't fix it, post back here and the forum team will be able to progress it for you.

I'll try chat tomorrow. I hope it's not a faulty phone issue.

Just to set your mind at rest: I'm 99.9% certain it isn't.

Hi all

Many thanks, I called customer services and they successfully reactived my voicemail.

Again, many thanks.

Gazmix

When I call 121 I have the option to divert all calls but not the if no reply, unreachable or busy but so I wondered that could help diagnose.
