Waking phone

Hi I brought a Vodafone Smart 6 Ultra in Feb as my wife is hearing and sight impaired and I thought it would be easier for her to use. The double tap to wake is on but more often it does not work for her. She also has problems pressing the power button. I have brought 2 book type cases for the phone with magnetic clasps on them but neither of these will wake the phone when opened, is it a fault with the phone or a problem with the cases. Thank you for any help or suggestions.

Hi @mickandchris

It could be the case with magnetic clasps which is causing a problem with the proximity sensor.

If there are still problems, a Vodafone Store will be able to take a look at the phone to make sure it is working correctly.

As a last resort, you could try a factory reset, it should clear out any bugs.

Hello @mickandchris

Please try a soft reboot by turning the phone Off and On.

FWIW, I've always found that tapping (or swiping) to wake a device needs a fairly precise touch, which could be the issue.  Glad you're sorted, though.
