Why can't I change the storage settings for the camera on my vodafone prime smart 6 to micro SD card?? This is really frustrating as if it's set to true HD the internal storage fills up after a couple minutes so you have to stop, go to storage cut and paste the file to your externek SD then start recording again!! Please update

Thank you yes I know that once the entire memory of my phone is full (as happened in the middle of a fantastic David Gilmour concert leaving me unable at that point to do anything with it as I was in the dark !) I can when I have a spare moment, move my photos.

What I, and everyone else is asking is where is the software which will allow me to choose before I take the photos where to put them - which would always in my case be on my SD card and Never in memory as that is a silly place to put them !

Someone said they had had software update in January which gave that option, I was asking about that, not how to move the photons once they are in the wrong place..

The absence of that option is a rather appalling ommission in what is otherwise a superb phone.

PS thank you for the manual which I have never had before but.... when I click it it sits there and sits there and does not open. I would very much like to read it - have you another way to present it please.

@joywasere - Take a look at our firmware statement for information on this.

Sorry Charles still doesn't answer my question as to why the phone does not have the standard, on all other phones I've ever had, option to store my photos on phone or SD . Nor does it explain this post:

All I am asking is, if this user got an update which let him store on SD card when will I get it ?

@joywasere We can’t advise specific dates for Firmware releases.

The link Charles gave you, provides all the information we can advise on this.

It was just an andriod update, came up automatically its andriod 5.0.0.2 I think? But I didn't search it, it just came up on my notifications at the top of the screen, I've waited nearly a year and stuck with the phone and its paid off, hope everyone else gets the update because my phone seems to be running smoother aswell 🙂

The notification said software update! And you have to have your camera set to photo for the option to come up to change the storage to SD card!! For some reason if its set to video the option isn't there? But once you change it the videos automatically go to SD card!! Hope that helps 🙂

hi i got the smart prime 7 and came across this issue where it does not default to saving to memory card.

I setup card formatted to be used on this device, i went to transfer files to sd card at first it said not enoough memory, i did eject card, then mount card and after intialising it then started saving on to sd card

though when u look at the memory and usb details it is showing internal memory but it then saves to sd card

hope it helps others
