Depending on what type of device you're using, can you simply disable it in the main app settings?   On Android, it would be Settings|Apps-Disable.

That would be very difficult, as there is no such 'App' on the phone!

Ah.  I don't use it, so I don't know.   I'm fairly certain it was offered when I was setting up my wife's new phone, and that I declined.  It hasn't appeared since.   My own device is SIM-free and I've never been offered it (it wasn't available when the phone was set up).

You could also try this from the support pages:

You can deactivate Secure Net in the Secure Net portal by following these steps:

  • Open the web browser on your phone while connected to our mobile network
  • Tap the Secure Net shield icon displayed at the top of your browser to open your Secure Net portal
  • Choose the ‘Profile’ icon in the top right of the portal page to edit your account settings
  • Choose ‘Deactivate Secure Net’ from the menu and tap the deactivate button to confirm

(thanks, @63johnw)

No, that will not work.

As I said, Vodafone Secure Net CANNOT be activated on my account, as it is a buisness account... so it can't be 'deactivated'.

It should not be there at all - but it is!

This is fairly typical of Vodafone not getting things working correctly...

It's odd that you keep getting the notification.  As I said, I was asked when setting up a new device, declined, and never heard anything again.   As this isn't a persistent issue with all business contracts, it sounds like something either with your device or account.   It might be worth dropping into a Vodafone shop when you're passing one to see if they can help - a lot will depend on whether you get an assistant with technical expertise or not, but it's worth a try.  If it requires account access, you may need authorisation from the account owner (for a business account), even if that's yourself.  I've had to write self-authorisation letters in the past!

If that doesn't get you anywhere, post back here and the forum team will be able to have a look.

I have had a 'Long' chat with the usual Indian basd Vodafone support...

They have promised a fix, and promised that I will be directly contacted when the fix is in palce.

We will see...
