Wifi calling

Hi could anyone tell me if the Samsung Galaxy s7 edge can use wifi calling on vodafone, as I was led to believe it was when I took out my new contract.

the latest update for s7 and s7 edge provides the wifi calling feature and i can confirm it works on my s7 edge

Do you see any indicators on your phones screen, to confirm/show you are on/have enabled WiFi calling??

 

At home with only 1 (network) 'bar' (signal strength) on my phone, I still don't see any indicator, unless of course I'm still using GSM?

Current/Previous Devices:-Samsung Galaxy s7 Edge (Gold), Samsung Galaxy s5, HTC OneX (W), HTC Desire HD. HTC Desire, N97Mini(died), N97(x3) which finally died, NokiaN82, Nokia 6300, Nokia 6230i, Nokia 6230, Nokia N80, Nokia 6310, Nokia 3650, Nokia+Other Nokias (+ 2 TinCans and a piece of string, but that was AGES ago!!) 🙂

When the phone devices that the cellular signal is too weak it switches to Wi-Fi calling and you get a  appear in the drop down menu as well as a symbol in the status bar. You can dismiss the notification but next time Wi-Fi calling is enabled it reappears.

 

My signal at home is weak and I found Wi-Fi calling would come and go through the day, although my Site Signal is now working again so I've not seen Wi-Fi calling for a while now.

 

I also noticed when you actually make a call it says "HD call" on the dialer screen.

I have tried sending the message and have rceived the reply about it taking 24hrs but still no option is showing in the settings. I have the latest update and it is a vodafone phone. Tried ringing them because i had it activated on my s6 edge and they said its showing on my account but its not activated yet for the s7 edge. any body else had any luck lately?

Yes the wifi calling is still not showing in the settings.

Thank Viki but i am not getting anywhere with live chat who are giving me incorrect information that i do not have it on my plan even though i had it activated on my s6 edge. This is really frustrating.

Viki, i have no idea what my plan is called BUT i do know that i had the wifi calling on my s6 edge and i have not moved plans or anything so it should work on my new phone!
