I think its a similar question to the new Apple Watch that takes an esim @peter_carroll with that not being supported. 

Vodafone typically do not comment on business decisions but do provide a coming soon and blog page to keep an eye on. 

Where have you seen the Lte model ?

I use the Bluetooth and Wi-Fi model of the Samsung Gear s3 frontier watch and find it a really good watch.

seen it on eBay was looking for a standalone smart atch so I can have the option to leave phone at home

Be wary of eBay is my advice. 

Buying directly from Samsung is my preference. 

So from what ive read since replying to you another network has no plans to support it either. 

Other forums advise there isnt a workaround. 

To be honest I rarely need to take my phone out now since using the frontier. Just forget the phone is in your pocket
