I pre ordered mine, iPhone 7 Plus 128 at 0817 on the 9th. I had not received an email or text so just spoke to one of the online chat people and was told 'all pre-orders are delayed 2-3 weeks'.......

Well further to my original post that started this thread. I haven't received a single thing from Vodafone (or DPD) since Friday evening. The tracking page has not changed during that time.
The reason I ordered was because it was supposed to be delivered today - I understand delays happen - but to not be informed - of anything - zero communication.
For one of the biggest companies in the world - how is customer service this bad even possible?

In case anyone hasn't read the comments on the other iPhone7 threads I'll risk repeating a point here. Basically, Apple do this EVERY year - there are never enough handsets (in all the variations) to fill the pre-orders and this situation ofter persists for quite a number of weeks after the launch. Whether you regard this as inevitable or deliberate depends on whether you believe Apple regard this as a good way to keep demand at high levels.
Of course Vodafone add to the percieved chaos with their less-than-stellar communication and their flakey ordering system - however the main cause of the problem is the gadarene rush that ensues whenever Apple release a new iPhone !
