Can someone please help.  I have recently had to get a new router from talk talk as my previous linksy died.  On setting up the talk talk router my sure signal no longer works.  I have been round in circles with talk talk about opening ports but there reply is that they are not trainned to do this and cannot help.  I have therefore tonight attempted this myself, after doing a port forwarding test the results are that the ports are open on my computer, but the result that concerns me is it was unabe to ping my router.  Have I solved my problem or not.  I am getting really stressed and am fed up with having to use my mobile in the garden in the rain!!!   Someone please help.

just a quick update. Thanks for all your replies I am up and running again with the sure signal. Went on portforwarding.com followed instructions to open ports. Called vodafone 191 and with a litle adjustment from a tech its all working again. So for anyone with a talk talk D link 2680 it is possible!!!.

Hi Staceyw,

Can you confirm that your SureSignal works perfectly on TalkTalk DSL?

I've tried on multiple different TalkTalk lines with multiple routers and multiple SureSignals. They work, but after the first 10-20 mins of each voice call it gradually starts breaking up and becomes  unusable and/or drops. I've explored this with Vodafone who can find no issues, and am currently exploring with TalkTalk.

Do you experience such problems with longer phone calls over SureSignal on TalkTalk DSL?

Thanks

Jonathan

I have the same problem with DSL-3680, do you know what Vodafone did when you called 191 to get it working?

Hi john64,

What sort of light sequence do you see when you try to use the Sure Signal?

Using our Sure Signal Troubleshooting thread will let you know what sort of details we need to pick this up for you. We'll be happy to help once we get more info. :Winking_smiley:

Cheers, Ben

Hi

Have a bt infinity 2 fibre to the premises package with Home Hub 5. Have been in the Hub Manager and done the port forwarding and DCHP changes. Could not do the Destination IP changes as can't find where.

Sure Signal has been doing the flashing red and orange in use fault but I have managed to get this to flashing red, orange in use and orange signal bars now - which I understand is the authentication error issue - done a restart and this brings up the same.

Moved house about a year ago and it has never worked since moving in but we did re-register the device to the new address with no effect. stashed the device in the cupboard for better part of a year and then have tried to use again. It still appears to be registered on the account.

Any advice?
