Hello I brought a blackberry 9790 from a second hand shop and it said on there open to all networks so I brought it and I went to post office brought a brand new vodafone sim card but its saying there aint no sim card in there it won't let me ring anywhere its just saying sos

If it is the phone may be locked to another network and would need unlocking. But this can only be requested by the original owner.

It said on the phone it was unlocked to all networks and I don't know if it is activated don't know how to

Hello I brought a new blackberry I tried putting my vodafone sim card in but its saying initialsation failed but I got no signal so I can even top up or anything the sim just won't work

The first thing to try is a new SIM card.  If you call into a Vodafone store, the staff will be able to help with the replacement SIM card.
