I have spent several hours with Vodafone trying to get my phone unlocked. Eventually after speaking to people who did not seem to understand my request someone said they would get a code from Samsung. No one came back to me. I spoke to Samsung who told me they could do nothing and only the provider could unlock the phone. This is an old phone and the number has been transferred to my new phone. I now want to use my old phone with a BT SIM and cant do so. This phone has been paid for by me at some cost and yet it is unusable.

Have you filled out the unlocking form which is in the Quick Links on the Rh side of the forum page under 'Unlocking NUC'
Another option would be to pick up a Vodafone Payg SIM card and make calls etc for 30 days and then use the new Payg details to request its unlock.
Its correct that Samsung wouldn't be able to help with a Network locked phone.
