I’ve recently signed up to fibre 910 and my service isn’t due to go live till 2nd Jan 2025
yet I’ve received my first bill to cover a period from 20th.dec to 19th jan. so essentially being charged for services I’m not yet receiving? And will end up paying more than im supposed to be over the term?

Pro rata charges apply to everyone on Vodafone broadband, as well as some other providers. It doesn't reflect the activation day, just the charging period which can have very different dates. Don't worry, it does balance out in the end.
