Very funny vodafone. Close the relevant thread then put me back on the Edinburgh gateway - and my connection was reset to do this. Really really funny. To say I'm pee'd off is an understatement. I should not be getting a better internet connection by tethering with my phone (4G). I'm running a trace now for 24hrs which I'll paste here tomorrow night.

I shouldn't have to connect to a French VPN to get a decent connection to UK servers. And so the saga resumes, part deux............

And to close this sorry story I've just been switched back to the Leeds gateway (90.246.0.1).

I know it doesn't mean I'll be staying on this gateway, but since I first joined vf it seems to be roughly 6 months good, 6 months bad, rinse, repeat.

I'd like to believe it's been triggered by the IP change as it's roughly the same time after cancelling the static IP as happened in the old thread.

Who knows...............
