Buffering And Connection Drops Gigafast

I recently up(?)graded from Vodafone broadband to Gigafast fibre.

On the older FTTC setup, I could watch iPlayer and Netflix without interruption.

However, on the fibre, I get buffering and drops.

Looking at the event log errors, I see:EventLog.jpg

The DST field refers to my own IP address, but the SRC field, according to ICANN is AMAZON-YUL

The firewall is doing its job, but why should this cause glitches in the streaming from iPlayer?

Also, what is the System Unauthorized request all about?

I do not think that these two lines from your log are related to your experience with iPlayer and Netflix.

The unauthorised request has no context, so I cannot tell you if it is one of the familiar messages often seen in the boot/reconnect process or something else.

It's probably worth tracing the route to iPlayer and Netflix with something like PathPing, MTR, etc and see if there are gaps in the hops between servers in the route.

Edited for a spelling correction.
