ER-4 Gigafast connection settings

I am trying to get connected with my edge router 4 and having browsed the internet have acquired the following.

I need my Username and password from support

I need to make a vlan connection on 911

I have tried using the "basic" wizard and set connection to PPPOE on eth0

I have populated my Username and Password

I have ticked the VLAN box and populated it with 911

The rest i leave as default

After the router saves the configuration and reboots i do not get internet connection. Is there something obvious i'm missing? Has anyone manged to get an ER-4 to work with gigafast?

Did you get anywhere with this, I know when you ask for your login details they forget to tell you that you need @broadband.vodafone.co.uk on the end of the user name.

I have all the correct details (I believe) but my edgerouter erpoe-5 just will not connect, at present I have my router plugged into the lan port on the voda router and the dmz pointed at the ip of my wan port, it's not quite double NAT as it effectively makes my routers WAN port open to the internet, all my port forwarding etc still works but I'd still like to get rid of the voda router.

One thing that appears to be changing is that some install now, rather than use an ONT with its requirements for VLAN ID to be set (911) are using a PON or GPON unit with no requirement for setting the VLAN ID at all!

How can I tell, is the ONT the same but a different config, my ONT is a Calix GigaPoint 801Gv2
