Hello,
I am wondering if anyone can help. I recently switched from BT to Vodafone. All my wireless devices work perfectly but the home PC connected via ethernet is poor. It will often be unresponsive, particularly when you come to use it after a while away. Bizarrely, removing the cable and putting it back into a different port seems to fix it. I have been through various problem solving steps such as disabling antivirus. I have even used a friends router who is also on Vodafone, sadly it brings the same error. I never had such problems with BT. Has anyone had similar problems? Thanks in advance.

The only possibility I can think of it the BT router you were using had only 100Mbs ports and the Vodafone one has 1Gig ports and the cable you are using is not Cat5e, so try with the cable that came with the router.
If it isn't the cable then I would suggest deleting the Network driver in the PC and reinstalling it.

Thanks for reply. I am using the cable supplied so cannot be that. How do I delete Network Driver and reinstall?

Assuming you are on Windows 10, try following the steps here:
