Hi - I'm hoping someone can help me. I'm currently with TalkTalk (FTTP via city fibre) and took out a Vodafone 900mbs broadband and booked an install date. I've just had a call from Vodafone telling me they have had to cancel my order because I already have FTTP active at my house with another provider and they are only able to book an installation date if it's not currently active or has been inactive for 10 working days.
Surely this can't be right, that would mean anyone with existing Broadband would need to be without internet for 2 weeks before joining? Has anyone had a similar experience?
Thanks
Craig

I have exact same scenario. TalkTalk to Vodafone. Vodafone rep states I have to cancel Broadband first. Not happening I'm afraid. Again its a cityfibre connection here and I believe that is what it will go to too. Surely it must be easier than this.

I'm looking at the same issue - except leaving Vodafone to go to another provider. Had no internet for 10 days now and no sign of it coming back.
Am thinking that getting a cease of my line and going with another provider is going to be quicker than getting my existing (non) connection back, on the grounds that a new supplier provisioning the line will fix this apparent fault, and get me onto a new supplier with a much better customer service.
I have asked CF about lead times in provisioning a new connection where the infrastructure (fibre cable and ONT) is already present. and waiting for a response. My alternative is to leave CF altogether, which would be a shame, but I cant go through this utter pain every time there is a fault.
