Hi everyone. I wonder if anyone can help me.

i moved into a property in 2022, which had a fibre cable going to it off a post on the road. I have a junction box outside and an ONT box inside. Im currently on a fobre deal with Vodafone which gives me 100mbps. When I entered the contract with them, I could get any speed I wanted, but 100mbps was ample for me. Now my contract has ended with Vodafone, im now paying a higher price. But I cant go anywhere else as apparently, the house isn’t registered for fibre. Vodafone are saying it could be because im on partial fibre, not full fibre, so there’s no room at the exchange. If I were to leave Vodafone, I wouldn’t be able to get a quote off anyone even so im stuck. Anyone else experienced something similar? How do I contact openreach? Vodafone are adamant that they cant do anything.
many thanks

Hi @ilw00, you can get in touch with us so we can check what offers we can offer you instead of staying on the current rolling contract that is expensive. If you are set on leaving you can check with other providers what options they have and if they can provide you with a service before cancelling with us.

Ive phoned you about 10 times and get the same response. You say you can offer me a deal, but then you find you cant beacuse our house isn’t registered for fibre, even though we already have fibre. It was oerfectly fine before I joined Vodafone, in fact, it was Vodafone who got Openreach out to recconnect me to the fibre line as the orevious house holder had taken the ONT box with them

That full fibre is available

  • The old copper line has been disconnected, so the only way I get broadband at the moment is through the fibre line. Speeds of up to 1600mbps website says

Have you actually tried to go to another supplier?

What do comparison sites say?

Spoke EE last August and they informed me of the issue, and Vodafone confirmed it. Vodafone are unable to offer me a deal due to us not having a fibre line apparently. Comparison sites say its possible to have a deal off different providers, but why would EE and Vodafone flag this issue up if there was no issue? My partner works from home, if we were to change providers, then it has to be seamless. Cant afford to be without internet.

Cant stay with Vodafone even if I wanted to as you cant offer me a deal due to this issue apparently
