After signing up for GeforceNow 3080 last year I was disappointed to find that my existing FFTC (copper wire) Vodafone Broadband always had higher than acceptable "Packet Loss" resulting in the message that "Streaming over your network is not recommended". The bandwidth was always OK at over 50mbps.
I had contacted Vodafone support about this but the issue was never resolved.
When my contract was coming to an end I contacted Vodafone about trying somewhere else but they talked me into an upgrade to Full Fibre at a lower price than I was already paying with no setup fees so I accepted the new service without hesitation.
Two weeks ago on 13/6 an Openreach engineer arrived and installed the fibre, it didn't work that day. I contacted Support who told me it was OK to leave the old FFTC cable along with the new WAN cable plugged in so that we would still have internet and that the router would switch over when the Fibre was activated.
I don't think that was true because after still having no Fibre 4 days later I unplugged the FFTC cable and the Fibre came on.
The problem now is that having "UPGRADED"??? to Full Fibre I am only get between 12 and 29 mbps on GeforceNow and the Packet Loss fluctuates between 0 and 20 depending on the mbps. I have spent hours on the phone to the Full Fibre support team but the issue is unresolved.
I wish I had looked here before "Upgrading"

That really is typical of Vodafone. The Customer Services are more knowledgeable about the internet/broadband than the technical staff. (Although to be fair I'd never heard of GeforceNow until your posts, and I thought I knew a bit)
Hope it improves once you get on a new provider (I'm not sure it will), do let us know.

So. I still only have between 10 and 28 Mbps on my 75 Mbps FFTP with GeforceNow. and it would seem that Vodafone are not obliged to support the platform so be careful before upgrading to FFTP if GeforceNow is important to you. I went to CISAS as suggested in my Deadlock letter, don't expect too much from them as I don't think they understand what the issue is. They certainly didn't help in my case.

I can't say I'm surprised. If everything about your Vodafone broadband is fine, except for one 3rd party service, (and I would think not a greatly used service) there doesn't seem to be any need for them to intervene.
Have you done anything about moving to a new provider?

It's a sad state of affairs. VF has more than 8 million clients within the UK. With the the target being 95% of their clients being happy with the service there is no obligation to do anything about anything until more than 400000 of their clents have a complaint.
The forum here just sprinkles sugar on it.

Yes. It's sad but all too common. If you are not economically viable and you can't catch the ear of the media you are stuffed. In all fairness Vodafone did spend a lot of time on this over the past three months, probably because I was like a dog with a bone and wouldn't let it go, but I don't think their "Support" capabilities extend much beyond detecting a loose wire or an out of date modem firmware.
Vodafone offered some low tier compensation which CISAS pretty much invalidated but I neither needed or wanted that, what I wanted was the same level of service I had with my old Fibre to the Cabinet.

I still can't get FTTP here, which I've always been annoyed about. but as I have an excellent FTTC connection (80/20) I will be hesitant about swapping when it does come.

With those figures it's hardly worth changing without some financial incentives especially if you are looking to use GeforeceNow, wait until a neighbour gets it and see how they get on.
Near the final stages of my complaint I spoke to a Support agent who was located near Liverpool. He had Vodafone FFTP same as me and it worked great for him, so it's not a countrywide problem.

Just an update. It’s been 3 months since my last Post and I still get a very poor connection to GeForceNow, I was hoping that the situation would remedy itself given time but it seems not. Nvidia are introducing a new Ultimate tier this month, even more powerful but I won’t be able to use it.
