Help with Asus DSL-AX82U on full fibre 910

Hi everyone hoping there may be some suggestions for getting my Asus router working with full fibre installation (city fibre).

I followed a recent conversation on the forum but I've not been able to get my router to work.

  • I've connect the wan cable from the ONT directly to the WAN connection on the router - red light showing.
  • I've set the primary connection to WAN (not turned on dual wan).
  • I've gone into the WAN and then set up a PPPoE connection - adding my username and password I got from the vodafone.
  • Within this I've also set the vlan to 101 (city fibre)
  • I've rebooted the router.
  • Quick set up doesn't work either.

If I'm doing something stupid or wrong I love to try any suggestions. Pictures of my setting attached

If you're on Cityfibre the vlanid is 911. If you're on openreach the vlanid isn't used. A reboot may be necessary on changes, but remember the connection isn't instant - it can take a few minutes.

And don't forget to enable 802.1Q if you're on Cityfibre.

Thanks Ripshod - I will try these and post what happens. Appreciate the advice - I have followed alot of your guidance from the previous thread .

Thanks Ripshod - those two adjustments fixed the problem.

For anyone looking at this in the future for a similar Asus router then most of the guidance in my first post is correct. This shows the corrected settings:
