I have high ping on the download side of my connection along with 16 interleaving depth.
I believe it’s a fault because my stats are actually really good. But the internet is so laggy is basically impossible to use at times. It’s freezing my devices and locking everything up.
I believe it’s going to require an engineer to find the fault and fix it. If someone could take a look I’d massively appreciate it.

Hey @Ashlfc Let's see if we can get to the bottom of this for you. So we can run some live tests and check your connection, we'll need to you reach out to our Broadband Tech team on 0333 304 0191, or via an online chat. I'm sure your connection will soon be as good as Diogo's second strike at the weekend 😉

Hi, I appreciate it but they won’t have a clue what I’m on about unfortunately they’ll just claim the speed is within an acceptable level.
the only way I’d be able to get it fixed is if the mods could look into it. (If you have mods like BT?)

We don't.

Ahh that’s that then. The online chat is absolutely awful. It’s not even a real person.

@Ashlfc I'll put the links to the BT resources, you may just be able to get either BT or VF to do something with some line stats.

It is if you bypass Tobi. https://www.vodafone.co.uk/bbservcd/

The difference in latency between WiFi, Ethernet, and router, on a speed test (ie stressed) is very far from insignificant.
No matter what route I take I get speeds of 44Mbps up, and 9.5Mbps down. Taking into account that there is an amount of background activity that it's hard for me to shut off.
However the download latency is VERY VERY different:
WiFi: 240ms
Ethernet LAN (Raspberry Pi4): 111ms
Router direct: 8.5ms !!!!!
Actual in flight latency is a bit different though - here's my measured latency for the last seven days:
The regular peaks come from the router performing speed tests in the early morning to set thresholds for QOS. It's worth mentioning that I only turn QOS on, when I need to, since it impacts speeds. With QOS off, I'll get a buffer-bloat score of "C" or "D", but with QOS on that becomes "A+". Also on the 21st the router resynced it's connection and the latency to the test site (Cloudflair) fell.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that these performance tests are not as cut and dried as we might all like to think!

The person I got through to was worse than Tobi 😂 they said they would reboot the router to magically fix all my issues despite me trying 2 openreach modems and multiple routers/ modem routers. So yeah thanks but unfortunately it went as I expected as they all just read off a script don’t they.

Difficult to believe that anyone/thing could be worse than Tobi.
I think the agents, on both live chat and the phone, can be very "variable".
