Ping/Latency way higher Gigafast 900

I used to get 5ms ping to London (from Coventry), now I am being auto connected to Edinburugh and I get 15 ping to there, when I try to speedtest to London or even right next to me in Leicester I am getting pings above 22...I called in and they just said "they added new servers and there's nothing much we can do"...

any help?

As I do not use social media, is there any way I can reference the open ticket when speaking with the wifi experts team or with online chat?

I mean I'm glad people are still looking at it, but realistically as I said this is a service-wide thing not an individual couple of houses. We're just gonna have it out painfully.

No change, but something happened at 2am to cause a disconnection and a tiny temporary drop in latency before returning back to 'non optimal conditions' 😉

Anyone else noticed the same?

Exactly the same time. Kinda reminded me of the old fttc resyncs. Thing with mine is the latency is all over the place. I'm at work and there should only be background traffic.

@Gerry_Atric - I understand it's difficult for you to send us your details with not using Social Media. For my team to log your example, we would need this to be done through Social Media. You can still contact the team on 191 or

03333 040 191 from any other network/landline from a different phone for this to be looked into.

In this thread @Windlown has had their latency increased recently, and they are on a static IP.

Don't know if they are affected in the same ways as others on this one.

High Latency - Community home (vodafone.co.uk)

I recently gave up my static IP and it made no difference to the latency, it's still 25 - 35ms and routed via Manchester.

So it now looks like I'm been routed via Birmingham instead of Leeds new ip is 81.78.15.202 ping has gone back upto between 11 and 14 but touchwood no speeddrops on a night so hopefully it stays like this

Had a period in the night when my Latency doubled for just over an hour but I'm still on the Leeds gateway thankfully.

That got me intrigued will have to check in depth when I get home, but looked at my bqm and for some reason I had total loss of service twice around 2am this morning and since then my average ping has increased a little, however if like you the speeds do not drop in an evening (will find out later) would certainly be happier about itbqm29th sept.png

Yeah hopefully I stay as I am now. The internal speedtest on my router is saying Telford is my closest server again even though I'm just outside Leeds the 14ms ping I've never noticed as a bad thing which in everyday terms and even gaming is fine.

What does get me is all my security system and hive stuff and baby monitors going down for 2 to 3 hours on a night because it's all trying to share 3mbps!
